We will do a thorough assessment of your parking lot or driveway. We then give you a written proposal based on your needs. Our proposal will include several options so we can best fit your needs as well as your budget.
Once you have decided to proceed with the project, we will work with you to select a date to begin your project. (Many times within 1 week!) Every project is different, and duration will depend of scope of the work but most projects are done in 1-2 days and can be driven on within 24 hours.
The first step to a good installation is to have a clean surface. We first clear any type of vegetation that may be growing on (or through) your parking lot surface. This includes grass or plants near the edges of the asphalt. Then we use high power blowers to remove any dust and dirt that will prevent the Duraseal Sealant to the existing asphalt properly.
Asphalt sealer alone will not repair cracks greater than 1/8”-1/4” in width. Therefore, any damaged asphalt needs to be treated prior to sealing.
Once we have a clean and clear surface, we are ready to start the sealing process. We start with the edges of your asphalt surface, and this part is done the good old fashioned way by hand with squeegees and brushes. We do this by hand in order to ensure that the sealer stays where it is supposed to and doesn’t end up on your sidewalk, curbs, planter boxes and most importantly, your house or garage!!! t
Now that all of the sensitive areas are done, it is time to do the fun part!! Our asphalt sealer sprayer is a 500 gallon asphalt sealing beast powered by a 16 hp briggs and Stratton piston pump. This asphalt sealcoating system ensures proper sealant coverage while minimizing the amount of time a project takes to complete. It also eliminates pooling or puddling of the sealant which will increase drying time and delay the parking lot or driveways use.
Once we have finished the work, we will cordon off the wet areas with string and reflective markers so no one inadvertently drives on the surface. These can be removed in as little as 24 hours and the parking lot will be fully functional after that 24 hour period.
